Stefan has nail biting win

28th March –

A threat of lightning and thunder did not deter the 100+ player participating in the final qualifying BFMJS#Zwartkop event.

Although there was a tie on gross 66 (5 under par), Stefan Jacobs (Randpark) was declared the winner. Hanro Kriel (Pretoria CC) also had a 66. There is an age restriction in BFMJS events based on the qualifying event played in the USA.

A steady round of 6 birdies and a solitary drop at the par 4 14th saw Stefan home. Stefan had 3 of his birdies at the par 5s. In close pursuit on 4 under were 2 players, namely Nico Booyens (Centurion CC) and Michael Ferreira (Woodhill CC). Scoring was great with Dian Kruger (Centurion CC) and Wandre Snyman (Zwartkop CC) on 69 (2 under par).

By winning the Zwartkop leg Stefan Jacobs has qualified for the regional North finals of the BFMJS Tour.
